Y’know, I actually felt like writing something here for once, so of course iceshadow.net is down. I am currently typing this in MS Word. News! Well, my gil problem. Thanks to Lauli (BIG help, thank you so much, dear!) and Trema (for being an all-around great friend), I have my financial problem fixed… at least temporarily. I somehow (yes, “somehow”, I’m still not quite sure how) had 880k sitting in my bank today. Trema used his sneaky HNMLS powers to get me a Dragon Talon so he can get someone to craft my Weskit. Dandy, wonderful. I get the other mats and we meet up with the crafter (who shall remain anonymous, as to uphold his dignity) in Windurst. Long story short: Synth failed, lost a coeurl leather, a clump of manticore hair, and, of course, the motherfucking Talon. Thankfully, Trema is insured on the talon, so he gets another for free. If this next synth fails, I’m going to be extremely disappointed. Not only will I owe Trema over a million gil, but I’ll have to farm up the three mil for a made Weskit to actually have, AND farm another mil for those goddamn spells I bitched about in my last post. How will I do it? Fuck if I know. Like I said, I hate the economy in this game. In light of better events, I hit 71 yesterday… again. I got a 14k buffer into it as well, so I won’t delevel… again. Make-shift 71-75 manaburn FTW. Today, I got 72. I like the Errant stuff because of all the awesome –Enmity. Also, Leisalle beat Maat. Huzzah! | ||

Fuck gil in this game. No, seriously. Why is it so fuck-shit hard to get some form of currency? Even with two jobs above 60 (one at 70), I can't seem to get a decent income. My method of farming only nets me 100k a day, tops. Therefore, it would take over three weeks of non-stop farming to get enough gil to buy a motherfucking Weskit. Also, I'd like to thank the greedy shits on Titan for spiking spells that were once 20k and 40k up to 300k and 700k. I really appreciate that bullshit. Not only do I have to somehow farm 3.5 million for a piece of equipment I'd be considered gimp without, but now I have to drop another mil on two spells. I'd hate to compare apples to oranges, but when I played WoW, gold was shit easy to obtain, and getting good equipment for your level was as easy as pie. While that game had the most goddamn idiotic players ever to exist, it had a good method of economy. Seriously, how the fuck do you people do it? How do you BLMs, who are the shittiest farmers out of all the jobs (I know this from experience), manage to get 4.5 mil for level 73? And don't say crafting, because that costs even more money. Do you pretend to be a cute, innocent little Mithra and coax money off of players that way? Do you suck President Karst's dick? Speaking of which, I'd love a piece of Volker's ass, mmm... BUT THAT IS QUITE BESIDE THE POINT OK. I know that there's no "easy, quick gil-making scheme", but farming for over an entire month straight for basic items is ridiculous. | ||
