I wanna be a mommy too.

Thanks to the great Roswell and her(?) blog with wildgrass results and testing, I've decided I'd try to make my own paste and other foods for my chocobo whenever it hatches. I'm basically doing it by trial and error, using earthen pots only, since it's my mule and not main. Four pots, fed each a different crystal, dark, light, wind, and earth. Should be ready to harvest in a day or two, maybe three.

Anyway~, I have nothing else to say ; ;.

Simple things

Destressing to: Tyrese - Lately

Chillin' in the jungles with a close friend as he was leveling his THF for his SAM. Watching his party was entertaining. After a few fights, I guess, he pulled a gob they couldn't handle very well, the RDM went into healing first for some unknown reason. The WHM was holding her own pretty nicely then she ran out of MP trying to keep the PLD alive. Assuming the PLD was out of the MP, tossed him a few cures here and there, and the gob dropped to the ground. A few minutes pass by, he sent me a tell saying he was trying to kill the BLU. Why? I forgot why. Anyway, he went through many troubles of trying to get his SATA to work, but the BLU had other plans. He was afraid of a THF's greatest gift since sliced bread. Everytime SATA was used, he conveniently moved a little. Somewhere along the line of many tells, he caught the BLU off guard, giving him a nice hate plant and the BLU the pleasure of tanking. His tanking skills were short lived, the tank could pull and hold tank pretty well.

Somewhere around the beginning of the week, I read that SE will be releasing more ToA storyline on August 2 and chocobo breeding, August 22. Eh, I like the storyline, it's humorous, but I was really looking forward to raising my own overgrown turkey. More bonuses that came with the update were more merits. I glanced over them all, let out a small laugh at what NIN got, elemental wheel: san. DRKs got something useful, Abs-TP. Told someone that BLM got AM II, he whined about how they're overpowered. Well, BLMs got hit with a "nerf" that would cause anything that checks impossible to guage to gain a resistance to any form elemental, divine, and ninjutsu magic. Most THFs are happy with the new abilities, traits, and daggers that are 68+ got uped in damage and/or lower delay. Not too sure on the delay part, didn't bother looking at the old stats, just going by what our crack dealer, SE, says.

Continuing from my last post, we're all familiar with Ego. We're pretty much oil and water, unless there's other people in a party with us. Anyway, let's continue our mission on getting the last of his samurai artifact.

Prepping

I sign on POL a little earlier than usual, then go about doing my normal regular morning routine. Coming back, I find a message waiting for me. Eager to know who sent this message, I promptly read it. Lo and behold, it's Ego telling me he's going back and I should go with him! I sent him a message the previous night telling him I found a coffer for him after he left, not a big problem. At first, I declined his offer, because of what happened between the previous night and not wanting to go through it again. I caved in and told him I would go and that he should sub ninja for tonko and just use silent oils. Well, he was already there, yay. I logged in and invited him to our party of enchantment.

Day Two
Mission Three: Scoping the coffer from last night

It all started out with one question that I get asked all the time: Can you see coffers? No, I can't see coffers, I find them. I explained to him how I find coffers, stand in one spot, selecting targets,  and rotate the camera. Bam! I can see through walls and pick up other targets that's not on the same floor. Moving on, the coffer is there from the night before, in the same spot. Behind two doors that require two different keys, we knew about one key, but not the second key. Quickly, he asked how do we get the first key. Killing Tonberry Cutters. Getting a little too happy and jumpy, he asked what do they check to me. Easy prey. This is where his temper rises.

"You're a THF! you can solo EP!"

Day 2
Mission Four: Curses and Broken

I run back, calling my NPC to get ready to build up more tonberry hate. One cutter down, we get the key and a coat. Unknowingly, I slipped up on casted lots on the wrong item, I'm sorry, it was my fault. He passed on the key and the coat. We rush to the door, only to find out we don't have the key. Mistake number one, oddly, a good deal in the end. Alright, I admitted it was my mistake, don't bitch and moan about it, we'll get another one. Well, after a few painful hours of not seeing it dropping anytime soon, he brings in a very nice red mage for backup. She gets there, all of a sudden me and Ego's hate/anger for each other vanished. Now, that I have some meleeing help, our little green friends start dropping faster. We killed about 3-4 tonberries and another key drops to see the light of day in my puffy green pockets. I love that red mage, she's a nice person, and I'd help her without asking questions if she ever needed help.

With the second key in hand, we make our way back to the door, and see we have a summoner and her crew as competition. Ego, being the competitive man he is, ordered us to hurry. I had to bust his bubble when, we all found out we needed another key that dropped from tougher tonberries. This is where Cat and Ego bitch about getting another key after spending hours trying to get the first key. Well, the summoner and her crew died to aggro, I wasn't going to help them kill their CFHs anyway, I'm not there for them, that gave us time to think of a quick plan. We decidied that I'd log Cat behind the door and I'll come back as a loaned ninja (thank you owner of said ninja!). He asked what type of tonberry dropped the second key. Tonberry Choppers. He's out the way, I quickly make my way to the loaned ninja just to get his coffer and this day could be over with. I get back to find out the red mage died to Everybody's Grudge, of all people, the red mage.

On the speedy yellow overgrown turkey, I dismount at the entrance, moving as fast as I can to the second floor. Outside, Ego spots a chopper, and gives another order to provoke it, gilsellers were checking out his prize. Little did I know, I had THF subbed, ah well, I'm not complaining. The chopper goes down smoothly, and doesn't drop moot. Remember how I find coffers? It works for mobs too. One word order: Up. That chopper put up a little fight, and when he fell, he gave us goodies! A prelate key. I log off the ninja and rush back to Cat. Ego and the red mage make it back to where I stood, as I proceeded to let them in the door. Done deal, she aggros the tonberries so that he can open the other door. I dropped invisible aggroing the others so he can safely get his coffer. It gets better, after he pops his goody box, and a few quick congratulations, me and the red mage warp out leaving him there. Did I cry a little tear of joy? No.

While he savored the moment of getting his AF, his ego inflated and began saying things even I found weird. The only memoriable comment I remember saying was: I'm glad you're happy, now quit stroking yourself. Big bucket of sunshine and smiles there. Mission Four, complete. I'm one happy kitty that that day is finally over and I'll probably never help him.

This is one of my friends gone THF, sexy isn't he? For the sake of calling him something, we'll give him the alias, Ego. Ego lives up to his Elvaan heritage, as you can see, he has the "arrogant" model. Anywho, we went on one of our rare adventures.

Day One
Mission One: Finding the Second Floor

We make our way to Yhoator Jungle to investigate the crumbling temple located deep within. Upon entering, we encountered little green beastmen, known as a Tonberry. Prepping up, we run through the gray moldy halls to reach the next floor, only to get lost and cause mass confusion since neither one of us had a map. With some minor arguing aside, we stumbled on the second floor, mission one complete.

Night One
Mission Two, Part One: Locating a Coffer

Here, is where we put my thievery skills to the test of finding a rusty, decomposing, smelly coffer. Ego came as a samurai/white mage, so he can navigate the halls to help me search. That itself was a bad idea to begin with it. We were both on the verge of slitting each others throat, from our constant bickering and unwillingness to listen what each other had to say. With no luck of finding a coffer near the zone, our next option was defeating the Temple Guardian. We agreed that I'll come back as a ninja with very little tanking skills. Mission two, part one, failed.

Night One
Mission Two, Part Two: Defeating Temple Guardian

I came back as a ninja, only to find out Ego somehow is back on the first floor. I was disappointed a bit, I had to run him back to the floor, but he wanted to lead me to another part of the temple to find a coffer there. Fine with me, we get there, I'm constantly on the look for a coffer hoping we'll find one. Instead, we find Bonzeberry and his lackies chilling in a room. Finally, I give the idea of going back to where we were, on the way out, some tonberry that could see through walls decided it'll be cool to cast Sleep. While I was napping, I have no idea where Ego was, the tonberry had an even better idea! His idea was a to cast Flood. While he's doing that, Sleep wears, and I try to get out of distance. Didn't work out too well, I ended up taking about 800~ damage leaving me with about 400~ HP. I lived to tell the tale and get a lecture about having shadows up at all time from Ego. Did I mention, I didn't know where he was when I was sleeping and he was subbing white mage? Pretty sure I did.

Again, we're back to where we were before, and proceed to beatdown on Mr. Temple Guardian. While casting enfeebles, I gave the order to Ego to stand in the corner and look pretty. Done deal, I'm doing fine, the robot uses Berserk, even better. I Berserk and Jin, a few more hits and it'll drop to the ground. Mission two, part two, complete.

Night One
Mission One, Part One Revisited

With the guard out the way, we continue our stressing hunt for his coffer. This is around the time, I'm getting pissed and he's getting whiny. Indirectly, I tell him to quityerbitchin', didn't seem to work. He's down to 1-2 powders left, I'm getting more annoyed with his whining and trying to do my work. Didn't find a coffer a there, he warps and logs, that's pretty good in my book, I can finally do what I came there to do in silence. With him gone, I found the coffer in a matter of mintues, behind a door, later to be another door. Mission two: part one revisited, complete.

Destressing to: Tyrese - Sweet Lady 

Today was my turn to pick something to do! Bad thing is, I never know what I want to do. Didn't want to propose to get my last two staging points, too close to losing my buffer. Instead, I decided to watch my BLU friend die lots and get him some spells he needed, he felt he was gimpy. We got the spells he needed and are currently chilling in the dunes, think he's AFK...

GP items, a bunch of cooking ingredients eating up inventory space, running back and forth from each nation to get those ingredients, and slowly becoming increasingly bored and sleepy. Typical day when there's no one to talk to or anything interesting to do. Browsed through KI and see that SE has started the Linkshell Beta thingy. It's interesting, for those that have a linkshell. Don't have the link on hand, should be on the main site or just browse your favorite forum site of choice.

While trolling BG, I ran across a topic that struck some interest: FFXI remixes and some other original remixes. It's like FFXI meets M-flo or FFXI meets breakbeat. For those who are wondering who M-flo or what breakbeat is, follow the links and learn useless information. So far, I'm liking Sorrows Relieved, the other, The Empress's Secret sounds nice too, that one really reminds me of M-flo for some reason. The older stuff doesn't sound so bad, maybe it's my headphones or the quality isn't too high, just sounds stactic-y. All in all, DJplaeskool has some nice goods, Cat likes goods. Relaxation and boredom.

Vanished for a few days of nice relaxation of meeting some family, it was a nice break. I have to admit though, I don't know any of my younger cousins and I'm pretty sure I'm just a fabled legend to them anyways~.

Anywho! Logged in today for an hour or so, to check a few plants, make my mule a gardener in training, and send my usual slap tells. Found out later on today we lost the Astral Candesence(sp?) to Mamools and they have 6 prisoners. Pretty sure sweet and innocent Shihu-Danhu is one those prisoners, he must be saved if he is being held captive.

Destressing to: Avant - Director

Messing around in The Boyahda Tree with one of my NIN friends, leveling our NPCs, and somewhat escaping predestined deaths. I've decided that I'll get back to leveling THF somewhere in mid-July. Not really the type of person to setup a goal for anything, but I think I should at least take it to 75 to make me and few others feel all warm and tingly inside. That means, I'll have to finish off my subs, WAR has been perpetually stuck at 17 for sometime now, along with NIN being 34. Yea, it's time to put a goal in effect, been lazy too long that leads to being bored.

Early this morning, I spent sometime with a close friend leveling BLU. BLU is one of those jobs that takes patience, and coming from someone who doesn't gets invites fast, it crosses that line of patience to pure annoyance. We had fun, even though we almost died when a dhalmel silenced us. Leveled together for an hour or two, then we went our separate ways.

Happy Father's Day, to all you guys that have kids! Completely forgot about it, I'm still living in the past... Thought it was Thursday... Yea...
